Frosty Dawn captures the quiet serenity of a winter morning, using digital illustration to explore contrast—between cold and warmth, darkness and light. The scene features a dark, minimal room softly illuminated by a glowing sunrise filtering in through a frosted window.
Tools & Process
I created the base structure and composition in Adobe Illustrator, using sharp edges and flat tones to establish the cold, quiet atmosphere. To achieve the subtle blending of light through the window and add depth to the shadows and gradients, I imported the piece into Photoshop. There, I refined the lighting effects, soft glows, and color transitions to convey the warmth of dawn against the surrounding chill.
